STRIPBUREK

Stripburek is a comic strip anthology collecting Albanian, Bosnian, Bulgarian, Croatian, Czech, Estonian, Hungarian, Macedonian, Polish, Rumanian, Russian, Slovenian, Ukrainian and Yugoslavian artists’ comic strips.

Writers for the Slovenian comic strip magazine titled Stripburger selected the exhibition material from this 'Eastern-European special issue'; so among others the work of Aleksandr Zográf, Daniel Žeželj, Jacob Klemencic, Jacek Fras, Ascold Akishin, Igor Baranko, January Misiak, Pavel Cech, Roman Tolici, Šaša Kerkoš, Milorad Krstic, Ivana Armanini, Ivan Mitrevski, Matej Lavrencic and Vera Filó will be exhibited. Besides nearly 70 original artworks we are planning to show animated cartoons and films, moreover we are arranging to make a reading room where visitors can thumb magazines and books in the subject of comic strips issued in Eastern- and Central-Europe.

The aim of the exhibition is to introduce the authors of comic strips from the countries undermentioned and the comic strip culture of the region worth more notes.

During the exhibition period we are planning a conversation with the participation of the exhibiting artists and the editors of Stripburger.
